After a year of Ph.D. coursework and serving as a teaching assistant for lecture courses in literature, I'm excited to get back to the creative writing sphere.

I had been considering the idea of an online workshop since the pandemic hit. I figured people might be looking to connect with others while filling some unscheduled time at home.

But it is the more recent events in the U.S. that have pushed me to move forward with this initiative. Making sense of the world around us — and our role in making it a better place — sometimes requires looking within. Coming together in a creative and collaborative space is another way to channel positive change. Remember: Art (even in small and intimate forms) and social justice have always gone hand in hand.

If you are feeling lonely, anxious, hopeful, angry, inspired, or any combination of the above, consider joining me and other writers to connect and create.
